Living Hope’s Worship Types
Living Hope offers a traditional and a contemporary service; two distinctly different worship formats to meet the needs of the community. The atmosphere of each service is reverent, but informal. Starting this fall the children's education program for kindergarten through 5th grade called Promiseland will be offered at both the traditional and the contemporary service. Both services are followed by a fellowship period with treats and coffee. Living Hope uses PowerPoint presentations projected on a large screen to facilitate the worship experience.
9:00a.m. Traditional Service
Our 9 a.m. service has been shaped into a fully traditional Lutheran worship service. We are currently using liturgy from With One Voice, and we provide several liturgical settings that use language and music arrangements well-suited to modern musical tastes. The hymns and songs that are sung during this service range from the very classically traditional to the multi-cultural with the occasional contemporary praise and worship pieces. Music Director Karen Glim directs the music for the 9 a.m. service. Electronic keyboard, acoustic guitar, tambourine and hand drums are the instrumentation used in this service. Contact Karen at Karen@frankfortchurch.com with any questions or if you are interested in volunteering to participate in the music for this service.
10:30a.m. Contemporary Service
The 10:30 am service is a contemporary worship service. Keyboard, drums, electric and acoustic guitar provide the instrumentation for this service. The Livng Hope praise team provides vocal accompaniment for the variety of praise and worship songs. Dean Schuldt, the music director, also works with a youth praise band and vocal team called the Praise Monkees. This inspiring group leads the music for the 10:30 service several times a year. Contact Dean at Dean@frankfortchurch.com with any questions or if you are interested in volunteering for the praise band or vocal team.
Whichever format fits your personal style, we welcome you to spend a Sunday with us!
